What is deferred disposition?

Deferred Adjudication or Deferred Disposition is a type of probation. Defendant is placed on a probation for a certain period of time, typically 90 to 180 days. If the probation is successfully completed, the case is “dismissed”- without a conviction. If conditions are not met, the defendant will be convicted and have to pay the fine.
